Beautiful brooch!! Looks to be a Scottish Terrier.
Jenni, Your collection of figurals is just outstanding!! Love this beautiful dog!
What's your favorite, dogs? frongs? bugs?
He is such a cute little dog! Reminds me of a schnauzer? And his owner has dressed him up well- he must be going someplace posh?!
I’m also curious, referring to plein-air- painters comment: what’s your favorite to collect? My favorite items of yours are always the fish ones!
One beautiful dog brooch, in his finest !~
Reminds me of the wire-haired fox terriers I had in the past. Beautiful!
Thank you all for the puppy love

Scott thank you for your fabulous compliment & vote for a Scottish terrier, I can certainly see that dog in its pretty design; you are the expert on Scotties so I bow to your superior knowledge on that breed. Glad you enjoyed my doggy!
Thank you Maureen for your wonderful praise and thought provoking questions; in jewelry I guess my answer is, the prettiest dog, frog or insect I can find! Pell though does make gorgeous dogs, besides this terrier I also have their poodle and a pointer/hunting dog. Ever notice that poodles are like the #1 vintage dog in jewelry, guess that was the favorite pooch back then
Lauren, yes I've often heard this Pell dog called a schnauzer but because the face is in profile it's hard to tell, and you can see in these comments there are a few different choices - I just say he's a pretty terrier type dog (I have one in glass that will amuse you coming soon). OK now what's my favorite animal of all...well, I was a parakeet and a tropical fish (betta) owner, so I will say birds and fish are tops to me, plus they are the easiest animals to find in jewelry and glass. The hardest finds are the jungle & African animals but I love them too and am always looking. I like to think I'm a pretty democratic animal lover & love them all!! Thank you my friend for your awesome praise & finding this little fellow posh, he is rather a fancy one :)
Thank you Phil for your marvelous compliment on my well dressed terrier, Pell was great at baguette accents & they all (including a cat) have a pretty baguette collar, though this one in emerald green is a real standout
vintagelamp I'm so glad you liked this pup and are reminded of your beloved wire hair fox terrier, it's always wonderful to think of all the pets we've had - in my family growing up our dog was a small female beagle, she was a 'Leo' (born Aug 10th, every yr we would have a cake for her BD!) and true to the sign was a loyal companion & very protective, she nearly bit a young mailman who was flirting with my teenage self lol :) Thank you for your super praise & bringing back nice memories
Thanks Bruce and Kevin for loving this Pell terrier, he is woof-woofing his gratitude to you guys you're great!!
Searching thank you SO much for your fabulous praise for this doggie, thank you for voting it a Scottie and did not realize its art deco style until you pointed it out, always grateful for your kind words my friend
Nice green and red accents. Really makes it pop!
Thank you MrsT for your super comment/love and observ about the red and green accents, I totally agree it's always nice to find a pretty animal piece with some colorful touches
