Beautiful shade of blue on this wonderful little wren!!
Funny elongated shape for a wren- to me they’re such rounded little birds with a cocked up tail! XD
His slender body nearly reminds me of a blackbird, which are very pretty birds too! I just love his sticking out wings- you rarely see that, usually they’re part of the body :)
The blue colour draws one completely in tune with this beautiful bird!~
A harbinger of Spring! Lovely!
Many thanks everybody for the love

Thank you Scott for your super praise for this bird and his shade of blue, it was a unique color to Westmoreland they called Brandywine blue & often seen in their 70s animals like this one
Lauren you are definitely on target that most wrens are chubbier with a high rear tail, there are some varieties that are sleeker if you see google images, maybe the artist for Westmoreland drew from a different type. If you want to see a more typical glass wren put Kosta Boda birds in our search box above, several yrs ago I posted four different little birds by their wildlife artist Paul Hoff, and his chubby yellow wren has the perfect form. Love your wonderfully observant comment I always learn from you, thank you so much!!
This blue is so soothing right Phil, even though it is satin glass it has a beautiful glow. Thank you for your awesome praise for my sweet little wren, you're always so kind
Thank you vintagelamp for your great comment and seeing Spring in this birdie, I cannot wait for the NY weather to warm up & despite the cold, most mornings I hear birdsong outside (probably the hardy little sparrows) so let's hope we're getting closer!
Very grateful for the thoughtful love Bruce, so pleased you enjoyed my posts this week thanks so much!
Such a lovely color!
Thanks to you all for the love
