Hello everyone!!
The latest doorstop find for me is this little antique cast iron "Sitting Boston Terrier". This one is a rare find as these are extremely difficult to come by. It's very old and dates back to the very early 1900's or possibly earlier. Unlike my other Boston Terrier doorstops, this one is assembled with a single bolt and square nut. It still retains about 50% of it's original brown and white paint. I'm not sure which foundry made this one, but I do know that Spencer & Sons foundry was known to use the single bolt and square nut in may of their designs. I have another of these, but it's not in as good of condition as this one. I'll post that one soon. This one measures 6 3/4" tall and 6 1/2" long. It weighs 3lbs 7oz.

I have one standing, one standing on hind feet, one facing left, and one facing right, .... But I NEVER saw one sitting on its hind quarters. Thanks for posting it. I have a new purpose in life, looking for one like this.

Thanks for the comment. The hunt is always the fun part. These sitting versions are hard to find, and the lying down version is super hard to find (and very expensive). But, I love a challenge and I'm always on the lookout.
