I'm pretty sure this little pushbutton once did *something* from an organ console, but whatever it did would be a kinda 'non-standard' function there due to its particular otherwise common configuration, so maybe not. Electrically it is just a simple springloaded pushbutton made for low voltage in a 'push-to-make' function as would be typically used for a doorbell, signal light/buzzer, or any other one of a wide variety of things.

Shown with a US penny for size, the button itself is barely over 3/8" across with mother of pearl set in a thin brass ring, and is mounted in an outer bezel that now shows as brass but was probably first nickel plated like the rest of its outer metal housing, about 5/8" that. Its backside has two tiny brass wire connection screws and two even tiner that hold the whole thing together, with an unseen spring inside.

IF there are any maker's marks they're also inside it, there's nothing on its outside and I haven't taken it apart to look. There's no reason it doesn't *work* just as perfectly now as it ever did, it isn't difficult to see it is a quality made device. I'll guess 1930's-40's, just because that 'looks right' to me...? :-)
