I got really lucky and was in the right place at the right time when I ran in to a pair of old teeter totters made with round tubing. There around 50 years that are in unbelievably good shape..All 4 seat bumpers are still on the bottom.I haven’t seen one of these since I was in high school. As a parent and now grandparent it’s hard to believe we played on this old play ground equipment that looked so dangerous especially the tall slides but I don’t remember anybody ever getting hurt.If you did it was down to the school nurse who put that brown antiseptic on it that hurt worse than the cut and slapped a bandaid over it and you were off to the playground again. Thanks for looking.
Those are COOL with the 'suspended' design, I don't think I've ever seen one like that?! And OH, YES -- the most "dangerous" were always the most "funnest" things on the playground too -- how on earth are modern kids ever gonna learn to (nearly) crack their bones and skulls properly with their 'virtual video games' and 'hazard proof' everything?? ;-) ;-) ;-)
Wonderful set and remembering the fun
You are so right AnythingObscure. We were so fortunate to have lived during the time before gaming when you actually played outside. Thanks for the compliment Jenni. It didn’t take any time for the neighborhood kids to see these and wanted to use them. They had a blast until it was my turn and I forgot the lawns of gravityAt 260 pounds I accidentally launched one of them in to space who thought it was funny. Now 2 kids get on the other side when I’m on it.Thanks to Watchseeker,dav2no1,Phil,and Cisum for the love.
