Found at a historical museum among other stuff...Cast Iron, very heavy, about 6"high and 4 5/8" wide. Two holes for screws on base. The opening between prongs is 1 3/4 base, so we think it is too small for a foot scraper. The item and base are solid. Does anyone know what this would be used for?

Can you provide additional pictures of the other side, from top and base. Is the base hollow..sounds like it's solid.

Best guesses ...cobbler or leather tool...maybe glass forming tool? Doesn't seem to have much wear. The shape looks beveled one way..
