Came across this 1922D Liberty Peace Dollar. I first though it was just worn or maybe a fake. After looking at it further i just don't know. The weight is a little over 26 grams i know the casing adds to the weight. Missing the 1 on the date you can almost see where it's supposed to be, above that the word in G is missing or worn, the L in Liberty at the top is missing, any guidance on Verification would be greatly Appreciated.
Does a magnet stick to it? Even if real, in that condition not worth much. And fyi..you can Google 1922 peace dollar errors to wee what qualifies..
Not magnetic, Thank You. I will google.
That will give you an idea of common errors in that year to look for. Still a cool piece, love old coins. I had a 1000 year old Chinese coin, but was disappointed that it was worth about $20..
Wasn't really worried about value, just was trying to ID worn from error. Thanks just looking at some common errors on this Coin, Man Cool. Thanks again for the tip. Don't get me wrong a little $$ would be nice too. LOL
It looks like someone really tried to clean this one to the point of way overcleaned. I know that I would stay clear of this one.
