Another rare bird for the collection.
The C-47 is probably best known as the jump platform for WW2 paratroopers and I don’t often encounter trench art pieces of it.
This one is well detailed. The outward appearance of the cabin is exceptional.
Made from a .50 cal shell, round and scrap shell brass. The spinning props are aircraft plexiglass.
Plane sits on a .50 cal base with the ashtray out of a 75 mm shell with a 1938 date.
My plane and my photos, do not copy or use without permission.
Thanks kwqd and buss.

OMG, my neighbors were in their '90s and passed a couple of years ago and I was given this same thing. Of course mine's not as good as condition as yours, something told me it was a nice piece to have and I've always kept it. It has been in my drawer. It has some green on it,I think I should research on how to clean it up,I can't believe I just ran into this this is awesome.
It appears I have a piece that needs to be appreciated, I would do my best to clean it up and put it on display at least at my house.
Thanks 1923 and rachmer.
