Picked this up at the West Coast Toy Soldier Show where I spent all my money in 20 minutes. I was hoping to drag it out a bit longer but I found what I wanted. One of the things I was looking for was this Marx Battleground Playset.
These playsets began in the 1950s and were sold through the 1970s. A box like this would be mid 1950s through the 1960s. I should ask the guy I bought it from as he literally wrote the book (books) on this'
Anyway we are just getting started. Many pieces/partas here. My favorite is the German Pillbox seen in photo #3.
I'm a tank man, love the KV1.
What a fabulous WW2 battle set, I can imagine the fighting fun for the players - great find fort!
