2 Weeks ago I finished building the Fokker DR1 model replica flown by German Ace Werner Voss during World War 1. Since then I have been busy building another plane. This one was flown by the most decorated Ace in Canadian history, William Barker. He survived the war with 50 victories to his credit. Most of them flown in his Sopwith Camel. Again this is a Revell kit from the 1960's, built the old school way. This morning I finished the wire rigging to the wings and control surfaces. In this one I also added an electric motor so the plane can have a little action. Pretty neat watching that rotary engine spin along with the prop. Now to somehow get a photo of a dogfight between Barker's Camel and Voss's DR1! ...... Hmmmm

Wow, wonderful piece of history, I love people automatically who know how to work with vintage items so I watch The Repair Shop regularly. You have a beauty here.

I love your pics also, if you like I can paint a few clouds or put them in your first pic which I loved so much, at first I thought the trees were fake as there is no scale given ?

O.K. now I realize that this is a model, I thought maybe at first glance but the pics do look pretty realistic !~

Thanks, guys. My goal is to make replicas look as real as my abilities allow. I may attempt a dog fight scene later today. I'll post a result at some point if I get what I'm after.
