Can anyone please identify this chair and how old it may be?
The wood was mahogany, with rust color material, and redone in the late 70s.

Thank you for the nice upright pics. This is quite the nice Traditional Antique with some Regency Style elements. Same period as empire but early part of 20th Century, about 1940 to 1950. Nice finish on the piece, looks like someone took the time to wax polish it !~
I love the chair…and I see a waterfall front chest behind it! Is that a cedar chest? I’d love to see all of it, whatever it is. :^)
