    Hello everyone!!
I recently came across this nickel plated cast iron floor train at a really great price and just couldn't pass it up. Not my typical genre of collecting, but I do love my old cast iron pieces. Since cast iron toys are definitely not my area of expertise, I don't know much about this one and I've done only a bit of research. From my research, I believe this train was made in or around the 1930's. All I've been able to come up with is that the M.C.R.R. stands for Michigan Central Rail Road. There are no markings that I can detect, so, I'm not sure if this train was made by Harris, Hubley, Wilton, Kenton, etc.... It's still in really great condition to be nearly 100 years old. This train came with four cars, including two passenger cars and a coal car. The locomotive measures 7 1/8" long, 3 3/8" at tallest point and 2" wide. Fully assembled, the entire train measures roughly 34 1/2" long.

I'm hoping some of you experts out there will lay some of your knowledge on me and tell who made this and when.

Thanks very much for stopping in to see my cast iron train!!
    Scott
