Hello everyone!!
I recently came across this little cold painted spelter Dalmatian. This one is well painted and I love all the detail on this little fellow. This one would date back to the 1940's. I'm not sure why Dalmatians are so extremely difficult to find in spelter , bronze or cast iron, but I felt very fortunate to find this one. I love Dalmatians and my family had one when I was a child. He was completely deaf, but was one of the smartest most beautiful dogs we ever had on our farm. This one is solid and measures 3 1/2" long from tip of nose to tip of tail and stands 2 1/4" tall. He weighs 3.9oz.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Very cool! This is only one I have ever seen.
Its definitely a beauty, money well spent !~
Gorgeous shelter Dalmatian, what a wonderful rare find Scott. I had heard these dogs make great pets & glad you had one in your family, they also used to be the popular "firehouse dog" so very smart indeed
Typo sorry, should read spelter not shelter!
kwqd,
Thanks!! It's also the first one of it's kind that I've seen. Dalmatians really seem to be difficult to find.
Phil,
Thanks very much! Landed this one for $20!!
Jenni,
Thank you!! It is indeed a rare find for me. Dalmatians seem to be very scarce in the collectors' world.
