As a collector of many different types of "stuff", do you wish like I do, that what you know currently of your "stuff", you wished you could go back in time, be it 5 years, 20 years or 50 years ago, and purchase more of what you liked when you did make those original purchases? Be it hot wheels of 1968, baseball cards of the 1950's or whatever. Here is a "for instance". Back in the early 2000's I was at a local Walmart. I spotted a large model airplane "toy". I had never seen them before and it was actually in the clearance section. I bought it for cheap. Pretty cool for a toy. I was then on the lookout for more. Between Walmarts and Toys R Us, I acquired 7 different planes. Here are 4 of them. Now knowing these are highly collectable I wish I had bought more of the P51's (many different paint schemes) P-38's, Spitfires, Messerschmitts, etc. They were discontinued after a few years, picked up by another company and limited released a few of them along with new models. They too went out of business. I have no idea who owns the rights to the molds. So whatever planes are out there in the hands of other collectors and dealers of this sort of thing, that is all there is. Still a volatile collectable. And.... a great display piece.

Looks like Ultimate Soldier. Each deserves a post of its own.

Yes, Fort. The parent company was called 21st Century Toys. They marketed them as Ultimate Soldier and thru Walmart as Motorworks. BBi then came in the picture and sold under the name Elite Force. Now days Merit has released a few new planes in their line, like the Dauntless Dive Bomber. By the way, way back when when I bought these I did a little addition to the Corsair and P40. I was able to install electric motors in them to give them some character. No modifications were needed and that huge prop on the Corsair looks great spinning..
