Very Large Carved Jade Bead

Until yesterday, i thought this was a Chinese girl, but yesterday i found out that it's a boy. I also thought it was soapstone, but from the hardness tests i've done, i believe it's jade now. It has a hole from the head to toes, so it's meant to be strung on something, possibly a toggle. There's a small mark on the base that looks a little like a Z, but i think it's a Chinese character.
