Very unusual toothpick holder- I’ve never seen one in the shape of an owl or a tree before. It’s almost like he IS the holder too rather than sitting in the tree trunk?! The color is a lovely cool blue shade too

He appears to be frozen in ice. the colour is particularly beautiful to be in your collection !~

Thank you Scott for your terrific comment, I'm really thrilled that you enjoyed this owl in tree item

Lauren you have great insight here, the owl does seem the focal point with those big eyes! I do like the combination with the tree trunk, many of these older toothpick holders had whimsical designs (i.e., Westmoreland's dog in the doghouse, Guernsey's squirrel pulling at a tree). It is a really nice shade of blue as well, thank you for your fabulous observant comment

You're absolutely right Phil, the color and texture are like an ice sculpture, this is one cool owl! It will look amazing near to a window corner of one of my display cabinets to catch the light, thank you for your thoughts and fantastic comment

Thanks so much vintagelamp for your wonderful praise for this owl in the tree, it is pretty special and I'm thrilled that you love it!

TallCakes thank you for the info and link about the original designer Central Glass Co, no wonder it's such a striking piece it has a great history! As they often say they don't make 'em like they used to, particularly when it comes to creativity of design. Really appreciate your super input

Thank you my friend for the always lovely praise & I'm really glad you liked this quirky "tree owl," what I like best about it is that it's different, I hate the boring same old :) I am hoping to see more beauties from you here very soon please don't forget about us, we need your incomparable glass & miss you so much!
