What would a warbird collection be without the inclusion of one of the most recognizable Bombers of WW2? After collecting the Fighters in the early 2000's there was wishful thinking the bombers would be next to be made in 1/18th scale. Naaa, trying to package a 1/18th Scale model of a B-17 would be impossible. The package would be HUGE and pricey. They were never made. However, around 2010 a 1/17.3 Scale radio controlled B-17f model appeared on the market. So, I acquired one, did some repainting and a little weathering. I then had that elusive Bomber in the collection, at nearly the same Scale as the 1/18th Scale Fighters. Although it is an r/c model, it has never flown. I never got that good. So, the Memphis Belle resides proudly with the rest of the planes on display.
