Or at least that's what I think it should be...but I'm guessing at that and about everything else here.
Shown with the US Penny, it is a small black smooth polished oval stone of some sort, with what looks like a single diamond mounted in a gold setting that includes the CASE logo on one side. Presumably its 'award-ee' could have had it made into a ring, tie clip, pendant, or something, but that doesn't seem to have ever happened. There are no markings at all on it.
CASE is still in business today AFAIK, manufacturing heavy industrial and agricultural equipment and machinery, at least.
