Hello everyone!!
You probably saw the cast iron fox head paperweight that posted earlier. Here is a cast iron rabbit paperweight that I found at the same time I found the fox. This one also is from the mid to late 1800's. It still retains most of it's original paint. Paperweights were very commonly used during that period as were desktop cast iron paper clips, which I have yet to acquire due the prices being a bit out of my budget. . Nothing really special about this one, but it is cute. It measures 4 3/4" tall, the base is 2" in diameter and it weighs in at 1lb 9oz.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Very sweet cast iron rabbit & great round base which is perfect for holding down papers. You have the most incredible collection Scott, your rabbits must be looking forward to Easter!
Jenni,
Thank you so very much for the kind words!! I have an antique Easter bunny doorstop that I'm waiting to get closer to Easter before I post it.
