This 2 1-4"W deco swirl design brooch has emerald green and white rhinestones, including two rows of baguettes, in a silvertone setting. By Pell (founded 1941) from the 1950s
Happy St Patrick's Day CW! This green brooch is to celebrate the Emerald Isle and for my friend LaurenRedmond (sorry not a shamrock this year (:)
Really pretty brooch!
Love the exquisite design in this number in green, the use of the baguette stones adds to the glamour !~
Thank you so much for this post Jenni! I'm honored! ^^
It doesn't matter that it's no shamrock- it's a green garland of flowers instead, like something you'd drape around something (as in a sash...?!) It's a beautiful emerald green too and before I forget- Happy St Patrick's Day from the Emerald Isle! :D

Thank you MrsT for your lovely compliment, I'm really happy that you enjoyed this Pell brooch
Phil it is pretty glamorous and I always adore baguette accents in vintage pieces, which were a staple in most Pell designs. Although I've always favored their animal figurals, they were quite talented in fancy early brooch designs like this one, very creative brothers who got their start at Coro. Wonderful comment thank you so much as ever
Lauren I hope your St Patrick's Day was a delight, I'm sure it's a very festive happy occasion in your beautiful country (a visit there someday is on my wish list :) Glad you liked this emerald green brooch and want you to know I had ordered a vintage four leaf clover one (though the stones were a light blue) but unfortunately there was a mixup and I never received it, I'm always on the lookout for clovers or even snakes (sometimes they're very pretty in jewelry) to celebrate St Patrick's & will try harder next yr. Thank you for your fabulous kind words my friend across the miles
Thank you Scott for your great compliment, I'm truly glad you enjoyed this & I too love the emerald green rhinestones
Searching thank you so much for your super praise & agree that a bit o' the green is the way to go on St Patrick's Day, my front door has six small boxy glass panels on top that I decorate with appropriate window gels on holidays, so of course had clovers in various greens to commemorate. If I recall you like the color green and I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this Pell piece, it's a really special design with the rows of baguettes in the different directions, very unique I thought
