Hello everyone!!
Another antique cast iron doorstop from my collection. This one was produced by LITTCO in the early 1900's and was listed in their catalog as "Duck Eyeing Beetle". With the arrival of Spring 2022, I thought it fitting to post this Spring like doorstop. I love everything about this one from the design right down to the patina of the cast iron. It's missing a minimal amount of paint and has developed a nice patina over the years. I gave it a couple coats of transparent wax and buffed it to help preserve the paint. The photos really don't do this one justice. I know it doesn’t appear to be anything special, but this one is a very rare find in the doorstop world and I was lucky enough to be able to add it to my collection. It measures 7 1/2" tall, 10 1/2" long and weighs nearly 5lbs.

Always nice to see what they originally looked like and I love the clean back with its beautiful patina. Originally missed this one, as I never expected to see a duck stop.

He still has a nice patina that I wouldn't want to disturb, but other than that, it's a remarkable looking doorstop for the age.
