    Hello everyone!!
I recently acquired this antique cold painted spelter game plaque. This is from the Victorian era and is still in beautiful condition. So, it's evident that this piece was treasured by its' original owner. The spelter duck, rabbit and pheasant are beautifully painted and still retain their original paint. As you will see in pic #2, this was a birthday gift to Edward G. Ford on March 21, 1890. So, Happy Birthday Mr. Ford wherever you may be. This plaque measures 8 3/4" long and 6 3/8" wide.

Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
    Scott

Very nice to see these smaller ones. I am used to the giant ones the germans made originally, the colour doesn't make them look as gruesome dead.

      Phil,
Thanks very much! I love the smaller ones as well. I also love how the oak plaque has developed such a nice patina.

Nice-- the painting is a nice touch!

I do prefer the life size examples, but of course they take up more wall space.

      Thanks Eileen!!
I was thrilled to find this piece. I won this in an online auction. As you saw, this was a birthday gift for this gentleman on March 21, 1890. March just happens to be my birth month. March 31st to be exact.
