USMC OLEAN NY KA-BAR found in an old metal tackle box at a garage sale many years ago

Hello, this is my first post here. I just wanted to show off this old Kabar I found at a garage sale many years ago. It was in an antique tackle box I purchased. I recently had a minor cleaning and light sharpening done because it was covered in heavy rust. I have looked and looked and cannot find one exactly like it anywhere online. There are 4 rings on the handle instead of the usual 5. The pommel is flat on 2 sides and it looks to be attached with a wedge when it should be pinned or welded. Anyway I am proud of this find, if only it could tell the tales of its history...
