Hello everyone!!
Another one of my duck doorstops. I really love the size and colors on this duck. This one is not a reproduction, but an original from the 1980's. It was made by John Wright Studios in Pennsylvania. It's rather large and measures 12" tall and 11 1/2" front to back. Though this one is not what anyone would call old, I still really like a lot of the newer doorstops and have several in my collection. They're almost as much fun to collect as the antique and vintage doorstops.
Thanks very much for stopping by for a look!!

Colours are very well done, giving it a more in tune rendering as if it is a vintage old item. Gorgeous !~
Phil,
Thanks so very much!! These later doorstops all seem to be so very well painted.
Very handsome duck doorstop, such a proud stance - your John Wright pieces are awesome!
Jenni,
Thanks!! The John Wright Studio pieces are all so well modeled and nicely painted.

Eileen,
Thanks!! This one does have an antique appearance, but is actually far from it. He was made by John Wright Studios in the 1980's, possibly late 1970's. John Wright Studios stopped making doorstops in the late 1980's and started focusing on decorative trim and restoration pieces for home restorations.
