Found this hand forged meat fork of sorts, at least, that's what I believe it is.
It is made from a steel cable bundle approx. one inch in diameter.
The one end is hammer welded together than ground to a suitable end. The other end was hammer forged into a meat fork.
I must say, not knowing why he went to this trouble to make it, he did a pretty good job with their forging technique.
Maybe he was practicing for an appearance on "Forged in Fire" TV show.
How FASCINATING that this fork could actually be created from a short length of big cable. That's not only ingenious in thought but obviously also remarkable in craftsmanship?!! <applause>
I wonder if it once had a matching knife -- that'd be about the only thing to make it even COOLER?!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
