My latest edition to my steam engine models.
This is a scaled version of a horizontal mill engine; it is superbly made by an unknown maker.
the workmanship is such, that the slightest pressure to the flywheel, spins the engine through its cycle.
It came encased in a glass and walnut case, as shone in the first photo.
The cyl. bore is 1 1/2 " in dia. and the entire engine is about 18" long with a 9" dia. flywheel.
I have other steam engines that I've purchased, but this is by far the best made scale model that I own.
I wish that I knew the skilled machinist that made it, I'd tell him how talented he is.
A beautiful piece of machinery!!
Cool piece..
