Found this Chinese porcelain box, decorated with blooming peoniebranches and birds, 4.0 cm x 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm, at the local thrift store. Qianlong (1735-1796) style, but made 'yesterday'. At least I believe it's peonies, but I haven't been able to identify the birds. Bluebirds perhaps ? Maybe the ornithologists among you can identify them ? On the bottom is an S pressed into the once wet clay. No other marks. Decorative anyway, I think.
Thanks Searching1 for your kind comment.
