    a friend sold me this wonderful, large and expressive noh mask of an older person with teeth stained by betelnut [i think?]. Any info appreciated.

      (Betelnut stains teeth red.) Heishitori is 'the Wine Bearer', the drunken attendant in the Bugaku dance Kotokuraku. Sometimes he has black teeth, sometimes not.
      Go to Japantown to find out the name of the artist. There is a Facebook Group, too, that will translate it. (Or it could be the actor it was made for.)
