I'm interested to learn whether any other N.I.W.V. items used this eagle-with-Union-shield on its breast design. I haven't been able to find one. I believe that this item is quite early. The maker's (or union?) mark reads "Colorado Badge & Nov. Co., Denver, Colo." plus logo of 2 acorns, top-to-top, with the letters I and U on them. The National Indian War Veterans Organization was founded at Denver in April, 1909.
