I was happy to find this petite version of a Baccarat Japonisme vase, measuring only 6" (15.2cm) tall; I have quite a few large examples of Baccarat from this era, and they can be hard to place in my home! I also like that this shape matches my little signed (lower bottom in the photo) Baccarat vase that is rusty-red with roses. The blue vase is not signed, and is marked with a dark red fading '6.' on the base. This vase is a bit unusual in its half and half coloration of blue and pale tan.
Ohooo!..very pretty Michelle, that’s a bit different isn’t it?… I love it!
How very unique? I love them Michelle :)
As Penny said, quite different. The word 'crisp' comes to mind, then I read 1875! Beautiful in any century.
simply marvelous I do envy you
Thanks so much, Penny! It is - one of the reasons I like it so much! :)
Thanks so much Pam! :)
Hi Peggy, yes - crisp is the perfect word! Not misty or moody with clouds, as I often see. Thank you!
Thanks so much kivatinitz! I always appreciate your kind comments.
These are so wonderful! Smaller is also a nice touch for super collectors.
Thank you! I love this size. I just had a massive almost 15" tall Baccarat arrive a few days ago - not an easy piece to place. I think it will need it's own plinth! ;)
