This photo was taken in 1953 by a very dear friend of ours when he was 12 years old himself, with a camera without light metering, spontaneously and based on feeling directly from the family television. At that time, his family had one of the first televisions in Wolfsburg. The photo shows the first hydrogen bomb explosion broadcast on television at the time, which was detonated in Russia on August 12, 1953. One cannot deny this photo a depressing, daily relevance. I will have it cleaned, digitized and framed for him, because in my opinion, on several levels, it is a contemporary document worth preserving. I think it's just as great as the stories he tells.
Cool photo, thanks for sharing.
Excellent picture of a very depressing Image
