I can't claim to know exactly who made this, though I suspect Bohemian. I've wanted something like this for a while. The decoration is detailed and well done and it's size is impressive. There are no chips or even scratches so someone loved it and now I will.
Height 40 cm./16 inches
Such a sweet piece! Good find!
Imposing & elegant with fine decoration!
Oh, how gorgeous! I love the pheasant's eye narcissus! The enameling is wonderful, and it is quite unusual to still have the top. This is a special one, Peggy! :)
You can understand how tops get broken or even possible just separated from the base over a period of approx 100 years, so to find one with it still on, is wondrous..well done, Peggy a lovely impressive vase..love it!
rancherswife, thanks and I'm glad you like it!
Ironlace, I appreciate your comment particularly as I know that you too like Victorian enamelling.
Michelleb007. Once again Michelle you floor me with your detailed knowledge of flowers. It's pleasing too that you see it as special :)
inky, thank you, I don't favour white as a background colour but I had to make an exception for this!
Beautiful vase!
Thank you, Mrstyndall, for a lovely comment. However the existence of a lid makes it an urn, so I've been told!
