Hello everyone!!
Another of my antique show finds today is this amazing cast iron Dachshund doorstop. The detail of the Dachshund is absolutely amazing in every way. It's mounted on a solid cast iron base with rubber bumpers on the backside. Bradley & Hubbard made one nearly identical to this, but this one is not marked, so I cannot say for sure that it's a Bradley & Hubbard. It's most definitely a rare find in the world of doorstops though. It's 10 1/2" long and stands about 6" tall. This one weighs 24lbs!!
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!

Eileen,
Thanks! The rubber bumpers wee exclusively used by Bradley & Hubbard in the early 1900's. I'm unaware of any other maker using the rubber bumpers on the doorstops they produced. It was a wonderful idea though.
