I came across a wrench that is marked on both sides, one side said ‘Williams’, the other says ‘the Warner & Swasey co.
I’m confused, and cannot find information on this particular item, and I’m hoping an expert somewhere can point me in the right direction for more information.

Well my opinion is...Warner & Swasey co. made machine tools, instruments, and special machinery...lathes, etc. And Williams is a tool manufacturer. So the tool was made by Williams and they were used on the Warner & Swasey co.. machines..

A search of the Williams 505 wrench shows its a lathe wrench..

I was going to suggest 'lathe wrenches' too, but dav2no1 beat me to it with the research to prove it?! :-) :-)
