Hello everyone!!
It’s Springtime and all of the little insects will be emerging very soon, so I thought I’d get ahead of the game bring this little one out early. It’s a cast iron Ladybug. She’s actually a key keeper that stays outside of our home. I'm certain that she's not vintage yet, but will be one day. There are so many of these on the market today, but I wanted this one to be different from those, so I painted her the way she should be. She’s small and measures 3” in diameter and 1 3/4” tall.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!

Thanks Searching1!! No, we don’t keep keys inside it. Though it’s a key keeper, we only use it for decorative purposes only.
Nice paint job, I love ladybug items, I would be wary of using itfora key, but pretty !~
Very nice. These type of bugs are okay. Those hairy spiders I can live without. Nice job -
Phil,
Thanks very much!! I'd never want to use it as a key keeper either. In fact, we keep no hidden keys anywhere outdoors. In today's world, that's a bit too risky.
Hi Lori!!
Thank you!! The only spiders I like are the beautiful garden spiders that eat all of the flying pests in my landscape. I do love ladybugs too!!

At A Certain Time Of The Year, These Show Up Out Of Nowhere..In Droves. They Stick Around Awhile And Poof! They Are Gone As Quick As They Came.
Thomas.
Thomas,
You’re absolutely right about that. I’m hoping that the stink bugs don’t come back like they did last year. They were horrible last year!! And saw the first one this morning in my garage!!

From scaquarium.org “ Historically and cross-culturally, ladybugs are believed to be talismans of luck.” It goes on to comment that some people say if a ladybug lands on you you count the dots and that tells you how many years in a row you will have good luck! Just thought I’d send a little positive feedback for your wonderful little ladybug! Thanks for sharing, jscott0363!
Thanks very much rancherswife!! Such wonderful information. Thanks also for the love!!

Thanks Eileen!! I have a lot of ladybugs in my landscape, as well as a huge assortment of lizards. So thankfully, I've never once had to spray for aphids or any other pests.
