Old Japanese kettle teapot. About 8" high with a mark on front on right side of spout. Colors are brown and dark red. Little rust on inside and bottom. It's in really good shape. I can't identify this dot shaped pattern.

From what I can see, it is not antique. Post 1950, possibly vintage. What is the size of the body of the pot, minus lid, handle and spout?
Can you post an image of the mark?
From your other image of the mark, I think it may have been made by Bunshudo. What is the height and diameter minus lid, handle and spout? Is there a hole in the lid?
This pattern is called uroko ("scales") in Japanese. One article (https://www.nippon.com/en/japan-data/h00478/traditional-japanese-patterns.html) says:
Uroko (Scales)
The combination of triangles resembles the scales of a snake or fish. Samurai would wear clothing with the pattern as a talisman to protect themselves from harm.

I haven't seen this pattern on a tea kettle before -- I think it's a little unusual!
