Hello friends, let me share with you this modernist pendant. The author could be possibly Janos Percz (Percz Janos), a modernist artist from Hungary. I was informed he did lot of unsigned pieces and this one is in his style.
From internet:
From 1957 to 1960 Percz took part in seven arts and crafts exhibitions with his work and won six first, four second and six third prizes. After the successes, Percz received a grant from the Hungarian goldsmiths and turned to the design of modernist costume jewelry. He often resorted to simple graphic representations of figures and animals in the style of naive painting and implemented them in metal. In 1961 he won the Munkácsy Award for his work .
Since 1960 János Percz worked as a freelance artist. In addition to designs for jewelry, vases, bowls, candlesticks, medals and masks mainly made of bronze and copper , he created numerous small sculptures of figurative representations, murals and statues. His works have been shown at arts and crafts exhibitions in Brussels , Moscow , Prague , Stockholm , Oslo , Helsinki and Turin .
Today his works are part of the holdings of numerous museums, such as the Hungarian Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest and the Hungarian National Gallery .
