I think that these were made by a Native American women - probably from one of the Pueblos. EM? any ideas welcome here!

Not by a puebloan tribal artist, but Native American, from the Southwest, so you were close.
This was made by Elizabeth Manygoats (daughter of Betty Manygoats) well-known Navajo potter from the Kayenta-Shonto region. She is known for her folk art approach to depicting aspects of daily life. And chickens.wearing sneakers.
Her work is featured in the King Galleries, Wheelwright Museum, Andrea Fisher, and Adobe Gallery, and other sites.
