Can't quite say "a pair" not only for their different colors but also because they're *slightly* different in the details of how they're made, suggesting that they're instead two different "generations" of the same thing from the same maker. It's probably been copied by lots of other makers too, COSCO folding steps like these have been common household things since the 1940's.

These two are apparently their model# 11-135, since that ink-stamped number appears on the underside of both along with various other info, but not a 'date code' that I am aware of. The COSCO name logo on the rubber mat is also different between the two, I think that'd mean the yellow one is older than the white one. I'd be pretty sure neither is nearly 1940's in its own age, the yellow might be 1970's or so because I think I remember that logo style from around that time on similar ones (but not these) that were around when I was growing up myself.
