Got this in a shopgoodwill lot, which I bought because of this piece. Now I know this is Moser, and it is probably from the super late 1800's - 1930's. Having said this, there is no sign of a pontil, which also mystifies me. I very recently started collecting Moser glass and am saving my pennies to buy the two Moser centric collecting books that are out there. If anyone has them and can help me ID this, it would be awesome!

Also, no idea what this is for, and it has some design oddities as well.

I do know that Moser made lots of panel sets in both the thin glass version, and the much thicker, heavy version. I have a decanter/coup glass set of thin cranberry panel glass which probably is from the 1920's to 1930's. I have no idea if the thicker glass sets were from a different time period or not.

This piece is the thicker glass, and it is quite heavy. Also, bottom section is unusual. I have not been able to find anything like it online. Gold is in very good shape though, and item appears to be almost new. They call this color Emerald, but I find it a tad bluish, and would maybe call it a greenish teal color. There is a corner piece of what might have been a label on it, but it is very old and has no discernable detail.

It is a tad taller than a normal size mug. It is also not the standard shape for a shot glass. It is too tall to be a toothpick holder, and too short to be a vase.

Thanks @Walkingthefloor for your reply. I just have not heard that term applied to Moser glass.
