    AnythingOb…

Things that admittedly don't go together generally -- but let's face it, every so often "life" gets stuff like this confused a little bit, doesn't it...?? ;-) :-)

So, while leaving my storage locker today, I saw a little shiny thing (tool?) laying in the middle of the concrete driveway in the sunshine. Leaning out the window a little while crawling by confirmed it -- a chrome paint can opener. SURE I'll take another one of those, I says to myself, while sliding the truck back into park and getting out to pick it up. THEN, I noticed a smaller shiny thing -- an earring. And another earring and another and another, until I had the grouping shown here. (and two brass screws and two picture hanger hooks)

Somebody dropped a little bit of stuff from one of their boxes, I guess...?? Must have been only shortly before I myself came around that corner though there wasn't anyone in sight, as nothing looks like it got *too* run-over...?? <lol>

All appears to be costume jewelry but there are a few fun pieces anyways. Using pic 1 as a reference, the pair on the RH side seem to be solid polished stone with silver hardware, unmarked. Above them is a single oblong greenish stone with really lovely graining to it, its setting is marked 925 on the back. Left center top is a solid purplish engraved material (resin?) on brasstone hook, the sorta Native American looking one with colored bits is probably just plastic. Center bottom (above the paint opener) is a surgical stainless 'bent barbell' meant for body piercing.

It never really hurts to glance at the ground every so often when 'out and about', does it...and in this case I got a little more than the usual pennies I also pick up from the ground when I see them -- *plus* a free paint can opener?!! (which doesn't look old at all, and is lettered "LINZER/AMERICAN", presumably a paint brand?)

    <LOLOL> :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
