Hello everyone!!
Another recent doorstop find for me is this cast iron "Girls Reading Books" doorstop. This one was produced in the early 1900’s and is considered very rare in the doorstop world. This particular doorstop was available in a couple of different color patterns. I'm not sure of who the foundry was that cast this doorstop. It measures 8 5/8" long and 5" tall.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
Beautiful contemplative pose of the girls reading, out of the ordinary doorstop for you Scott - I love it!
Jenni,
Thanks!! It is out of the ordinary for certain. I've searched for one of these for years now and was finally able to find one.

Thanks Eileen! Yes, it's always gratifying to find something you've been looking for quite a long time. I like to imagine that they're reading Thornton Burgess books:)
