I have recently inherited this wool blanket/bedspread and am wondering about its origins. It has been passed down in my family but don’t know if it 20th century or if it is a lot older. It is approximately 86” x 74” (without the fringe). It has fringe on three sides and the edge without fringe has some worn spots. It has a seam down the center of it. It is quite beautiful and the colors on most of it are really strong. I have uploaded pictures of both sides. How old do you think this really is?
Research 'coverlet" . Center sewn seam is older and was made on a narrow loom .
