This is one of the pieces from the Leonard penny toy archive and collection of penny toys. These are penny toys manufactured in Paris from 1890-1920 from the French toy maker Simon et Rivollet.
This piece is of an iconic New York yellow cab taxi. The toy was manufactured by Simon et Rivollet in about 1920 and would have been sold in France and America…. These toys are very rare survivors.
