I have had this meat slicer around for a while. It is a Berkel 1600 Model. Always thought I might have time to refurbish it, haven't found any time yet...lol...Does anyone think that it is too far gone for reburbishment . Not sure at this point if i will ever get around to it. Interested in opinions. It does go on and try to move but it barely budges.

Looks to me like all it'd need is a good thorough cleaning, including the insides of the motor if necessary -- but it also looks like its *built for that* -- so certainly NOT "too far gone" to get refurbished and working again, for many further years of good service!! :-) :-) :-)

These things aren't the safest things to use. You may be better off keeping it nonoperational. Let someone else cut off their fingertips.
