Hello everyone!!
Here's my latest doorstop find. It was made by Hubley in the late 1920's-1930's, for G.G. Drayton, and was cataloged as #32 "Fido On Pillow". It's not only a doorstop, but a still bank as well. He's lost about 20% of his original paint, but otherwise in very good condition for his age. These were available in several different pillow colors. This doorstop was more costly to make as it took three molds to cast, one for the pillow and two for Fido. This one measures 7 7/16" wide, 5 9/16" tall and weighs 3.64lbs.
I've wanted one of these for my collection for years now, but was never able to find one at reasonable price. Seems that the owners of this particular design doorstop evidently believe these are worth a small fortune. Anyhow, I'm very happy to finally have one for my collection.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

He's so cute. What big mischievous eyes.
Fido is adorable sitting on his pillow, great design
that's one goofy pup!
Hi Lori,
Thanks! Yes, he is a cute one.
Jenni,
Thanks!! He is indeed adorable. He was also sold without the pillow, but I've always wanted one with the pillow.

Inwithold,
Many thanks for the love and for stopping in!!
Thank you Eileen!!
Not sure who came up with the name Fido, but it's even written on his collar. He's not worth more than a few hundred, but some folks tend to believe these are worth far more and they're not.
