Awh he is so cool and cute! Bumblebees are great insects and something I find completely adorable (and very valuable to the planet) they've even added the little individual hairs you see on them which looks very skillful
His green eyes are gorgeous too (I'll admit I've never seen a green and red bumblebee until now!) :D

Searching thanks a ton for your delightful compliments, this is my 2nd KJL bee brooch (different style & yr) but this one to me has the bumblebee realism, hunched over as it extracts the flower nectar. It also came in B&W enamel but I preferred these fantasy colors, the wings look kind of mosaic style

Thank you Scott for your great comment & loving my bumblebee, when it comes to bugs you can always count on KJL to make them pretty

Thank you MrsT for your super comment & glad you enjoyed the enamel colors, this is one bee I wouldn't be scared of getting a sting from lol! And yes, I agree the green cab eyes are really nice & it's always good to have two rather than the more common single eye on an animal brooch

Lauren thank you for your fabulous praise for this quite realistic bumblebee design, you are right the golden hairs near his head make it truly lifelike - the bright enamel colors not so much :) We certainly do need bees for a healthy planet, they enrich the flowers & also produce delicious honey which I take in my herb tea almost daily. You will appreciate this story....a few yrs ago my husband & I had a huge bee's nest near the side door of our house, they were always buzzing around us & we were a bit scared of getting stung. So I called a beekeeper in rural upstate NY who came down in his white bee suit & removed the nest, taking it with him because they were honeybees and he could use them on his farm. So nothing had to be killed and the visit helped us both, I think beekeepers are very, very brave!

Thank you so much Phil for your wonderful compliments, I love the colors too and that gold sure is shiny with a nice texture. The splayed out legs are a really cool feature too

Thanks so much Karen & Mani for loving this bzzz bee, very pleased that you both liked it, it's far less threatening than a real one flying around you lol :)

Penny thanks for your great comment & love, bumblebees are a good type of bee because they don't really bother people, they just fly lazily among the flowers. The people chasing bees however (hornets etc) I can do without lol :)

Thank you Bruce for loving this bee it's greatly appreciated!
