It looks like maybe Germany. But it also looks like maybe England? Superbly constructed! The extension chain are all soldered links, as is the ball to the chain. And the chain is soldered to the main necklace 16.5 inches long in total. Thanks!

I could be seeing things, but the last part of that string of characters on that finding looks like "TIANS."
Thanks, Kara! That's what I thought, too! I think it actually says Germany. What a dumb place to mark it! I thought someone might recognize the ball end. Do you see the back of the piece?

Just the construction of it. Each leaf is a link, each link is connected - but it 'snakes'. It's not rigid.
