This ceramic oil candle is about 5.5" in diameter x about 3.5" high. Signed on the bottom "Kravec Studios".
I could find out very little about this pottery studio except that they were located in Naples, Florida in the 1970s and were very prolific producers of pottery.
I like the idea of these easy to carry oil candles and added a few by various makers to my emergency lighting store. Similar candles are available at thrift shops from time to time at very reasonable prices.
I have, however, never been able to get one to burn well. Maybe it is the fuel I am using? I have tried using the paraffin oil that I use in my oil lamps. Or maybe it could be the wicks I bought on ebay? Has anyone on CW had success in getting one of these to burn and produce some level of light?
I was into it about 30 years ago but now I forgot what I finally settled on that worked !~
