One of my latest acquisitions, this one came to me from a signal collector's swap meet although it served its "official duty" somewhere in Cincinnati, OH, as evidenced by its distinctive yellow front/green back paint scheme. (which is unique to Cincinnati)

The signal itself was made by the MARBELITE Co. of New York, and is arranged in what we call a '8-8-12' configuration with (roughly) 8" glass lenses for its red and yellow sections and a 12" green section, in this case with a left turn arrow lens installed. The light hangs from an iron pipe and dedicated hanger hardware (also by Marbelite) which makes the whole unit a little over 5' long. It was likely made and first installed in the 1960's-70's.

It will soon join my 'backyard collection' of such things, once I install a small sequencer circuit board and power cord in it and get it hung up under a corner of the roof over the patio so it will light up and cycle like it should do. ;-) :-) :-) ;-)
